Michael graduated from The Queen’s University of Belfast in 1984 with a first class honours degree in Physics and a PhD in Laser Physics. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in 1991 and was a prize-winner in each of his professional examinations. Michael developed an extensive range of professional experience within the audit and corporate finance departments of Coopers & Lybrand, Belfast where he was a senior manager.

Michael left Coopers & Lybrand in 1995 and was a founding partner of ASM. Michael leads ASM’s Magherafelt based Audit, Accounting and Advisory, Consultancy and Corporate Finance services.
