ASM releases annual hotel industry survey results for 2018
Michael Williamson (Director) and Adrian Patton (Senior Manager) have released the highly regarded Annual Hotel Survey results for year ending 2018. The study gathers trading information from 3, 4 and 5 star hotels in Northern Ireland and is the only detailed insight into local hotel performance.
The report highlights that while there has been a record demand for hotel rooms across NI coupled with unprecedented average room rates, the addition of new room stock has been a contributing factor in the decrease in profits. There has also been regional variations in performances including rural hotels and Derry/Londonderry.
Michael Williamson comments “On balance, while profitability out-turn is a little disappointing, it remains quite strong. Visitor numbers continue to grow, so the overall outlook remains positive”.
